THE COYOTE GUITAR

I commissioned Pimentel & Sons Guitar Makers in Albuquerque, New Mexico to create the Coyote Guitar in 2006. Its creation was inspired by the popularity of my song “I'm The Coyote" appearing on A Different Place, A Different Time CD.

The Coyote Guitar is nylon strung with a narrow neck. Pimentel classifies it as a jazz fusion guitar. I classify it as one of my favorites. If you have attended any of my performances in the recent past, you have seen the Coyote Guitar in action.

It is beautifully inlaid with turquoise, mother of pearl and abalone. I especially requested that it carry an orange finish in order to always remind me of my beloved electric Gretsch guitar which I have played since 1965.

The Coyote Guitar is keeping the tradition alive!
